Introduction
When I mention the term corruption what do mean? Corruption means to destroy or abuse.
The definition most frequently used by social scientists that corruption is: “…behavior which deviates from the normal duties of a public role because of private-regarding (family, close private clique), pecuniary or status gains; or violates rules against the exercise of certain types of private-regarding influence. Corruption can occur in different type like political corruption, corporate corruption, linguistic corruption and data corruption. This includes such behavior as bribery (use of rewards to pervert the judgment of a person in a position of trust); nepotism (bestowal of patronage by reason of astrictive relationship rather than merit); and misappropriation (illegal appropriation of public resources for private-regarding uses)” This can be simplified to a general definition that will be used for the purposes of this paper: the abuse of public office for private gain; effect of corruption in planning and leads to the failure to attain the millennium goals.
Corruption has many step backs to development and the success of any organization since it denies the organization in question a chance to have get the best resources that are used in the wrong manner, the human labor with the best fit expertise, skills, talents and abilities.
